I’ve been training with Aaron for about 9 months. I’m in my early 50’s and when I met him, I hadn’t worked out in decades. I couldn’t even climb a flight of stairs without feeling out of breath and pain in my knees. In addition to being in really bad shape, I was also extremely overweight. Over the years I tried many diet and exercise programs, but nothing ever worked for me in the long term.
Then I met Aaron. I admit I was a little skeptical at first. An older, unfit lady being trained by a young guy did not feel like it would be a good fit. Was I ever wrong! He’s calm, patient, extremely knowledgeable, and a lot of fun to work out with! Aaron always checks my form and makes sure I am doing things correctly so I don’t hurt myself. I’ve had a few injury setbacks along the way, but all of those occurred outside of the gym, and he’s helped me recuperate and come back better and stronger than before.
I used to be obsessed with the numbers on the scale, but Aaron taught me that being healthy, and fit is more than just about weight loss.
He has helped me develop a healthier relationship with food, and he has created a nutrition plan that has helped me lose weight and build muscle. As a result of following his plan, my cholesterol has dropped from 232 to 184, my resting heart rate has decreased from 72 to 60, and my blood pressure has gone from 137/85 to 123/74. I have also stopped taking the antidepressants that I had been on for over 20 years. Working out makes me feel good! Natural hormones beat anti-depressants any day of the week.
Let’s throw in a few more statistics. In the 9 months since I started working out with Aaron, I’ve gone from being barely able to lift my feet off the ground to deadlifting 240lbs. I’ve also lost over 50lbs.
Aaron has changed my life. He’s more than just a personal trainer. He’s my friend, my mentor, and a huge source of inspiration to me. I’m still a work in progress, but I know I’ll get there and I’m happier and healthier than I have ever been.
Thank you, Aaron.
